Gat Creek is a consumer brand of wood furniture manufactured in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia with a freelance marketing team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This house brand of Caperton Furnitureworks is growing rapidly as home related markets expand and consumers increasingly prefer domestic, sustainably manufactured products. Our marketing team is executing a forward looking multi-channel strategy reaching consumers with an e-commerce website to the benefit of retail partners, interior designers and an emerging direct-to-consumer channel.
The full range of responsibilities during the course of the engagement is a function of the intern’s skills, productivity and availability. The first level assignment is to complete a project underway to survey, organize, normalize and implement product information content on the company website. As a function of this hands-on project, the intern will create a comprehensive product information library and discipline for the company. The intern will also support the company’s annual photo shoot that takes place in Greensboro in August. Additional assignments can include the implementation of new website features, a competitive survey of product page content and the responsibility to develop recommendations based on the research, and Pinterest site editorial content assessment and implementation. Additional marketing assignments can be tailored to the intern’s specific areas of interest.
