2025 Campus Greensboro Nonprofit Stipend Program
With an interest in expanding and supporting nonprofit internship opportunities for the 2025 Campus Greensboro Fellows Program, the program will offer limited matched funding ($2,000) to nonprofits that can provide high-quality nonprofit internships for summer 2025 through a competitive application process. Internships must run ( a minimum of 10 weeks) from June-August. Please note that all Fellows (interns) are required to participate in weekly professional development events over the summer Fellows Program. They will also participate in two days of leadership training in June 2025– please keep this in mind as you complete the application.
Please also keep in mind that each awarded organization will be asked to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (see below for details) prior to posting their internship openings and hosting interns.
Nonprofit Matched Funds Requirements:
- The interns must be paid $4,000 each in total (minimum) over the 10-week Fellows Program. Otherwise, the $2,000 matched funds must be returned to Action Greensboro.
- 100% of the nonprofit matched funds must be used to pay the intern. No portion of the nonprofit matched funds shall be used for general operations of a nonprofit or business.
- The nonprofit matched funds recipient shall be responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising the intern over 10-weeks.
- As a recipient of matched funds, the organization must hire a student who meets at least one of the eligibility requirements of Campus Greensboro, which includes 1) a student attending one of Greensboro’s higher education institutions, 2) a student who has graduated from a Guilford County high school, or 3) a first generation college student attending any college or university in the United States. Additionally, the hired student must be a participant in the Campus Greensboro Fellows Program.
- The intern shall be given an opportunity to present on a specific project, overall internship experience/tasks, or other relevant topic at the conclusion of the 10-week internship. Campus Greensboro staff shall be invited to attend the presentation.
