Fellows in Center City Park

The Fellows came out to Center City Park for free fitness followed by dinner with the Ghassan’sFellows Chillin food truck!

Students talked about their experiences meeting their mentors and the various perks to their internship sites, such as free espresso, ping-pong, ordering lunch in, etc.

Many Fellows visited Center City Park for the first time and hope to come back soon. In fact, a few Fellows talked about having lunch in Center City Park throughout the summer! The majority of Fellows are interning downtown, however a handful are interning outside of downtown – the program aims to increase awareness, familiarity, and comfort with all that downtown Greensboro has to offer young professionals!

Program staff pointed out the upcoming LeBauer Park site (opening in August) and the United Guaranty Corporation building, which will host our Fellows Closing Reception in August. Being in the park environment encouraged one of the Fellows, Darrien Staton, to revisit performing a back flip.

A special thanks to Ghassan’s Restaurant for coming out to the park for a community-wide food truck dinner with the Fellows Program!
