Although First National Bank Field, home of the Greensboro Grasshoppers, is a hop, skip, and jump away in downtown Greensboro, for some Fellows, last night was their first time attending a game! We love including a Grasshoppers game as one of the Fellows Program social events, and it was especially fun this year since we have seven Greensboro Grasshoppers interns in the 2017 Fellows Program cohort (the two Fellows not pictured were working in the press box).
With over 40 Fellows and staff, we sat in the Sunbrella picnic area, which offered great shade on a warm summer night. Many of us had not sat in the Sunbrella area before, but it was great for groups, and the Fellows enjoyed the atmosphere and view of the stadium/field. With various food and drink options, each Fellow received Babes Bucks, which work as cash, to buy their own dinner, drinks, and snacks throughout the evening.
Thank you to the Greensboro Grasshoppers for having us last night – everyone had a great time, and we all felt like local celebrities when our Hoppers Fellows came over to chat, hang out, and tell us about their post for the game!
