On Thursday, August 4th, 2016, United Guaranty Corporation generously hosted a Closing Reception for the inaugural Opportunity Greensboro Fellows Program. Attendees included the Fellows, Opportunity Greensboro leaders, Chancellor Harold Martin (NC A&T), President Larry Czarda (Greensboro College), corporate leaders, mentors from the Fellows Mentorship Program, colleagues from career services at each respective college/university, Fellows’ supervisors, and additional program partners.
Donna DeMaio, president and chief executive officer of United Guaranty, welcomed everyone to the Closing Reception and shared highlights from the inaugural program, as well as thanking all program participants, partners, and funders. Throughout the evening, attendees engaged with the Fellows and each other to learn more about the Fellows’ 10-week program experience, as well as discuss extended internships and full-time job offers that a few Fellows received from their internship sites. The Closing Reception was a nice event to celebrate the highly successful 2016 Fellows Program.
