Today’s Featured Fellow is Timisha Henley!
Timisha Henley is a rising junior at UNCG studying English with a minor in Pre-Law. Originally from Kernersville, NC, Timisha aspires to be a corporate lawyer. This summer, Timisha joined VF Corporation as the Law, Ethics, and Compliance intern! Since Timisha’s future goal is obtaining a law degree, we paired her with the Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary of VF in the Fellows Mentorship Program!
Timisha shares about her internship experience:
Deciding to stay in Greensboro this summer has proven to be one of the best decisions I have ever made! Working with VF Corporation has been a wonderful opportunity. After I complete my undergraduate degree at UNCG, I am planning to go to law school, so working with VF’s legal team has opened up my eyes to everything I can do with a law degree. I have been working on many projects this summer from organizing and planning educational sessions to creating training modules that the company will use to help train associates. The environment here at VF is very welcoming, and I feel very comfortable going to my supervisor with any problems. This has been a great opportunity to expand my network as I advance in the professional world. I have also been given the option to stay with VF part-time in the fall when classes start for the 2016-2017 academic year!
I would like to thank Action Greensboro, Opportunity Greensboro, and the program partners for making this possible.
