On August 3, 2017, the second year of the Opportunity Greensboro Fellows Program concluded with a Closing Reception at Smith Moore Leatherwood. The Closing Reception is one of the program’s anchor events, as it is a great way for the Fellows and program partners to connect one last time before summer ends. We want to give a huge thanks to Smith Moore Leatherwood for hosting this event at their beautiful office, which has a stunning view of downtown Greensboro.
Guests included Partners from Smith Moore Leatherwood, Fellows, Opportunity Greensboro leaders, program mentors, internship site supervisors, higher education partners, and community members. Frankie Jones, Partner at Smith Moore Leatherwood, Brent Christensen, CEO of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, and Beth Mannella, Program Director of the Opportunity Greensboro Fellows Program spoke at the event. The Fellows each received a certificate of program completion and a coffee tumbler from Hudson’s Hill.
Overall, year two of the Opportunity Greensboro Fellows Program was a great success – thank you to all of our program partners who continue to make this program possible for our local college students!
