Neisha’s experience:
As the Storyteller Intern at United Way, I was responsible for capturing philanthropic attitudes and interests in the Greensboro community via qualitative interviews with 60 potential donors and 4 prospective business partners. My final project included a presentation to staff detailing my findings, as well as a proposed outreach plan with messaging and stories. As a graduate researcher, I most enjoyed the opportunity to utilize my research skills in an applied setting, while also forming relationships with nonprofit leaders in the Greensboro community.
