Day One Recap: The Leonard Kaplan Leadership Institute

Marin Burton, Senior Faculty of Leadership Beyond Boundaries at the Center for Creative Leadership, described the 2016 cohort of Opportunity Greensboro Fellows as a “dynamic, engaged and astute group of students who are eager to learn and discover new ways of how leadership can be placed in their lives.”

Thanks to the generous donation from the Leonard Kaplan Fund at the Greensboro Jewish Foundation, Opportunity Greensboro Fellows are granted the occasion to attend the Leonard Kaplan Leadership Institute at the Center for Creative Leadership. The two-day leadership program focuses on unlocking and understanding leadership potential through identify elements and drivers of effective leadership, maximizing leadership capacity and addressing personal leadership challenges

After day one, Kyle Del Valle, a rising senior at Elon University studying finance, said “The program opened up spots in our brains that we have never explored before. I was excited to share my reflections on our first day with my parents last night via phone.” Kyle will be a finance intern this summer at Global Brands Group.

Day two of the Leonard Kaplan Leadership Institute is currently underway and we look forward to sharing the students reflections about their experiences firsthand.
