Featured Fellow: Alli Lindenberg

Our final Featured Fellow for the inaugural Fellows Program is Alli Lindenberg!

Alli Lindenberg is originally from Greensboro and a rising senior at Elon University. Alli’s major is Human Services with a minor in Adventure Based Learning. A fun fact about Alli is her fascination with weather – she wanted to be a meteorologist when she was growing up! In her free time, Alli enjoys wood burning, cooking, and kayaking. This summer, Alli is interning at VF Corporation as the Human Resources Intern.

Read about Alli’s HR internship experience at VF Corporation:

Coming into my internship at VF Corporation, Alli Lindenberg 3I knew very little about the world of business. As a human service studies major with a focus on women’s empowerment and outdoor education, my work background is entirely with non-profit organizations. To say I was a rookie coming in would even be an understatement. However, even though uncertainty brings feelings of being overwhelmed, the people at VF made me feel valuable to their team despite my lack of business experience.

This summer, I learned tons about the for-profit sector, and especially about the purpose of human resources, but some of the most exciting lessons that I took away from this experience were from the projects I was fortunate enough to work on. Two of my favorite projects included 1) helping design and implement a successful company-wide food drive for the urban ministry and 2) creating a mindfulness series available to VF associates. Overall, I learned an incredible amount about teamwork this summer, and I am convinced the HR team at VF is truly unstoppable. It is a small group of committed individuals who care deeply about the associates at VF and the success of the company at large. It was an honor to be a part of the team this summer and I am grateful I had the opportunity because of Opportunity Greensboro!
