Our Featured Fellow today is Maddie Cleeff!
Maddie Cleeff is a rising senior at Elon University studying Journalism in the School of Communications. Maddie grew up in Illinois, and she is interning with Piedmont Triad Partnership this summer. Maddie enjoys traveling, cooking, and baking – she wants to be a writer in the future.

This is my firs
t internship and although it’s not specifically focused on journalism, I am learning a lot from my colleagues and assigned tasks. Prior to working at PTP, I have never felt more comfortable with a supervisor. My supervisor listens to my input, strives to help me accomplish the goals I have, and values having me on the team. So far, I have traveled to many different places and have made some incredible connections, such as with Mark Sutter, editor of the Triad Business Journal. In addition, we are another step closer to finalizing one of our projects – linking the interns of Greensboro with those in Winston-Salem – and are excited to set this up for the future. While I have learned more about the business world, I am looking forward to writing more in my internship. It has already been a great experience, and I know much more will come out of it.
